Zhujiang Hospital, as the second affiliated hospital of Southern Medical University, incorporates the very latest advances in medical technology and patient care. The 1,000-bed hospital has also expanded their medical service by establishing 80 beds for overseas patients. In 1994, the hospital was appraised as one of “First Class Hospitals at Grade III” and awarded “Bethune Cup” for its quality service. In 1997, it was appraised as Baby Friendly Hospital, and specified by Ministry of Health as a network hospital of International Rescue Center in 2000 and as the hospital at first group for social medical insurance and industrial injury insurance in 2001.
